These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and RankTera ("RankTera", "we", "us") and govern your use of the RankTera platform at app.ranktera.com and this website. RankTera provides SEO rank tracking across Google and AI engines such as ChatGPT and Gemini, AI-visibility and citation monitoring, keyword research, and an AI article writer and keyword optimizer. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Accounts

You must provide accurate account information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account and for any team members you invite. You must be legally able to enter into these Terms and use RankTera only for a domain and content you are authorised to work on.

2. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use RankTera to violate any law or third party's rights, or to track domains or content you are not authorised to;
• generate content that is unlawful, infringing, deceptive, or that violates the usage policies of the underlying AI engines;
• attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, scrape, overload, or circumvent the limits or security of the platform;
• resell or provide the service to third parties except as expressly permitted by your plan (for example, agency use).

3. Subscriptions, billing, trial, and refunds

RankTera is offered on paid subscription plans, billed monthly or yearly in US dollars (USD) through our payment gateway. New accounts include a 14-day free trial; unless you cancel before it ends, your subscription begins and your chosen plan is charged. Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your account, and cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable and we do not provide prorated refunds for partial periods. Prices may change on renewal with prior notice.

4. Intellectual property

Your content. As between you and RankTera, you own the articles, briefs, keywords, and other content you create or generate using the service, and you are responsible for how you use and publish it. You grant us the limited rights needed to process and store it in order to provide the service.

Our platform. RankTera owns the platform, software, design, and all related intellectual property. These Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service; they do not transfer any ownership of the platform to you.

5. AI-generated content

Content is generated using third-party AI engines and may be inaccurate or unoriginal. You are responsible for reviewing, editing, and verifying any generated content before publishing or relying on it, and for ensuring it complies with applicable laws and the AI providers' terms.

6. Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that rankings, AI-visibility data, or generated content will be accurate, uninterrupted, or error-free, and search and AI engines are outside our control.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, RankTera will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any lost profits, revenue, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim.

8. Termination

You may stop using the service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, fail to pay, or misuse the service. On termination, your right to use the service ends and we may delete your data in line with our Privacy Policy, subject to records we must keep by law.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by applicable law, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version here and change the "Last updated" date, and material changes will take effect after notice. Continuing to use the service means you accept the updated Terms.
